Module 1:
Due date approaching: Preparing to welcome your newborn home, and your new identity as mama. Getting your support system in place
Welcome home: Preparation for self-care, learning to ask for help, finding creative ways when you don’t have it.
The first week: Sitting the month and the importance and benefit of staying in. Excercises, diet, breathing/meditation
Module 2:
2nd week postpartum: Breastfeeding? How’s it going?
What challenges are you facing? How are you feeling? You’re doing amazing. Baby wearing.
Exercises, diet, breathing etc
Module 3:
Starting to get the hang of motherhood? Highs and lows. Remembering to ask for help, it takes a village.
Module 4:
4 weeks! Congratulations. Baby’s first bath, skin to skin, bonding experience for mama and baby, techniques and ways to support baby, and what’s ok (ears under water). The importance of bathing at night, or several hours before going out. Venturing out, preparing yourself and your little one… going slow and taking precautions.
Module 5:
Self-care, going out for yourself with your baby, what enjoyable activities can you do with your little one, how to navigate. Moms groups in your area, meet ups. La Leche…
Module 6:
6 week followup visit.
How is healing going? Is it time to try a yoga class? Wait?
The importance of pelvic stability before resuming any excercises… which exercises.
Gentle exercises to strengthen pelvic floor and core.
Week 1-
daily phone/text support and check-ins.
Care package- postpartum soup herbs, massage oil blend, moxa, goji and chrysanthemum tea, essential oils (?)
Week 2-3—
daily text/email support, 3-5 phone check-ins
Week 4-6-
1 Weekly phone session
Daily email/text support/check-ins
Sessions include Q& A support, advice for healing at your current stage, dietary counseling, consultations for herbal and guided acupressure/self-massage therapies, and recommendations and guidance for postpartum exercises.
